This role is onsite and will be based in Houston, TX

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement current and updated methodologies for fluid dynamics to further improve accuracy and confidence in simulations.

• Implement watertight geometry from SolidWorks and/or Rhino.

• Implement code in CFD solver for complex models.

• Utilize Multiphysics solutions when applicable.

• Develop proper testing practices to verify and validate simulation results.

• Work with existing hardware teams to ensure tests are beneficial and parallel to the analyses.

• Team oriented work to choose ideal tools for verifying results, and making crucial decisions to drive the project in the right direction.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

• 10+ years’ experience in an engineering field utilizing CFD to support various design improvements, or a combined equivalent education and experience

• Proven proficiency in 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics

• Knowledge in existing CFD software (Ansys Fluent, CFX, STAR CCM+, etc..)

• Experience in dealing with complex fluid systems (turbomachinery, pumps, low pressure environments, etc.)

• Experience in creating/optimizing CFD code to further develop solutions

• Experience with interfacing High Performance Computing sources

• Preferred experience with other operating systems, programing language (Linux, Bash, Python, etc)

• Ability to identify and provide insight to issues within design

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task on projects

• Ability to thrive in a fast developing environment and produce timely results

• Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail

Essential Functions

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
