Ford Motor Company Fleet Business Development Manager in United Kingdom

We are seeking an experienced business development manager within the Automotive sector to join our Fleet team at Ford Credit, the financial services arm of Ford. The successful candidate will support Ford Credits aims to grow in the fleet financing sector and deliver volume to hit our sales objectives. The role will involve finding and developing relationships with businesses running large fleets, and selling them the benefits of financing their fleet through Ford Credit. It is also expected that the successful candidate will be the point of contact of our fleet customers enabling them to have a seamless journey at all points of their vehicle financing with us.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities within the fleet market segment.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential fleet customers with segments including Supermarket, Transportation, Courier and Groundworks.

  • Collaborate with Ford, Ford dealerships and other sales teams to identify and pursue fleet sales opportunities.

  • Work closely with internal teams, including credit, risk management, and legal, to develop customized financing solutions that meet the needs of fleet customers.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats or opportunities for growth.

  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to increase Ford Credit's market share in the fleet segment.

  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance and market trends.

  • Represent Ford Credit at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the brand and build relationships with potential customers.

  • Continuously identify ways to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty through superior service.

  • Expected to be with Customers or with Fleet centres 4 days a week to drive new business and build relationships.

  • Achieve Quarterly Sales Objectives & Profitability as well as producing regular forecasts.

Digital:

  • Ability to use digital tools and platforms to research and analyse market trends and customer behaviour

  • Proficiency in CRM software and other digital systems to manage customer relationships and sales activities.

  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tactics to promote Ford Credit's products and services to fleet customers.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong Presentation skills with an ability to appeal to target audiences.

  • Ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and customize solutions to meet their unique requirements.

  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process and beyond.

Data:

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decision making and identify trends and opportunities.

  • Knowledge of data management and analysis tools to collect, organize, and analyse large amounts of information.

  • Understanding of data privacy and security regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and protect customer information.

  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to meet customer needs and drive business growth.

  • Willingness to experiment and take calculated risks to explore new opportunities and approaches.

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the fleet and automotive industries to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Experience:

  • Candidates have significant sales/operational experience, with a proven track record of business development and new business conquest gained within a sales environment as well as knowledge of handling major accounts.

  • An understanding of the Commercial Vehicle market in a retail and/or fleet environment.

  • Full understanding of the Fleet Financing product range and the tax advantages of certain products to help dealers correctly qualify businesses customers.

  • A knowledge of how-to conquest and/or work with large business customers, understanding the intricacies of how they deal with fleet purchasing.

Additional Information:

This role although remote will be out visiting our customers 60% of the week. Due to this the role will come with the additional perk of a job car.
