Due to continued and planned growth, we are excited to add a Senior Staff Accountants to our Corporate Support team in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will prepare and maintain financial records, as well as track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss and other related financial activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general ledger accounting duties, such as creating and posting journal entries, maintaining subledgers and general ledger account reconciliations

  • Coordination of SOX compliance with internal auditors, gather necessary information and documentation for audit support and follow up

  • Provides support for quarterly and annual audits with internal and external auditors; gather necessary information and documents for audit support and follow up.

  • Research and analyze expense variances.

  • Assist with branch annual physical inventory count and analysis

  • Local tax returns (Personal Property and Gross Sales)

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies and procedures

  • Strong analytical skills to question and interpret data

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required.

  • At least three years of related experience required.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

    Salary Range:$71,000-$89,000
