What You'll Do:

  • Be a champion for individual growth: Partner with adults with disabilities to achieve their unique goals, tailoring community-based activities to their interests and aspirations.

  • Make a real Impact: Support participants with their medical and personal care needs; including assistance with bathroom use, changing of adult diapers, and assistance with feeding.

  • Craft personalized pathways: Develop, review, and evaluate individual program plans, tracking progress and celebrating milestones along the journey.

  • Connect and collaborate: Build strong relationships with participants, families, and community partners, fostering a supportive network for success.

  • Unleash the power of community: Explore diverse opportunities together, from bowling and parks to volunteer work and educational classes.

  • Unlock social potential: Support individuals in developing valuable social skills, navigating community interactions, and building meaningful connections.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California driver's license and reliable car for work purposes (required).

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience providing direct care to people with disabilities. (required)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (preferred).

Position: Inclusion Advocate Location: Richmond, CA Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00-3:30 pm (37.5 hours per week) Compensation: $20.50/hour + great benefits!
