Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Pottsville, Pennsylvania

Description:

Install, maintain, trouble shoot, and repair all plant equipment and machines including facilities and building maintenance.

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance of all equipment.

Read and accurately analyze technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required tasks. Ability to research beyond resources at hand to resolve technical problems with production equipment.

Install and relocate equipment and connect to required utility sources.

Create reports and communication to update coworker, production and management on the status of down equipment.

Design and fabricate tools, jigs replacement parts and other equipment as required.

Support production needs by working overtime, on-call shifts, and call in as needed for emergency coverage, breakdowns or completing work backlog.

Track and record daily work using the computer.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, required.

Formal training in electronic component troubleshooting and repair. Degree from a technical college is a plus.

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

CNC machinery trouble shooting and repair experience.

Experience with Siemens, FANUC and Allen Bradley PLC controls, is a plus.

Experience with industrial electricity, servo motors and drives, combustion systems, fabrication, welding and mechanical systems including hydraulic and pneumatics.
