Job Summary

The BPIC Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Business Process Improvement Coordinators and Associate Billing Specialists to ensure business efficiencies, improved customer experiences and quality-focused outcomes within Reimbursement Operations.

Essential Functions Supervises, leads and participates in business improvement projects to improve workflow. Oversees training, as needed, to ensure that all staff are trained properly to execute their job responsibilities. Responsible for working with analysts to compile various reports as needed to support Reimbursement Ops projects Coordinates or assists with vendor assessment, selection, contracting and implementation planning activities Assists with User Acceptance Testing and Operational Readiness as needed Serves as liaison between vendors and ZOLL reimbursement teams. Focus on identifying process improvements that will lower costs while facilitating quality. Supervises staff interactions as they work with departmental SME's to create Standard Operating Process documents to support workflows within Reimbursement Ops. Ensures biannual audits of Standard Operating Process documents are completed timely by the staff. Supports staff in their facilitation of project planning meetings, this includes material preparation Ensures that team validates, tracks and updates payer information in Billing System, Payer Resource Center and Billing Guide tools appropriately through monthly quality reviews. Partners with Business Analysts and reimbursement teams to identify and support process documentation development opportunities that improves accuracy, effectiveness and overall efficiencies. Provides department leadership including mentoring, problem solving and coaching to drive continued improvement of staff performance. Supports staff and Reimbursement partners with problem resolution as it relates to billing system and process development.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience Associate's Degree and 4-6 years of experience in a relevant discipline or Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience required A minimum of 1 year supervisory or lead experience required High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required and Experience in Visio and MS Project highly preferred Familiarity with insurance payer portals, workflow management tools, process development, software development cycle is preferred Experience working with all payer types to include Medicare, Medicaid, and third party commercial insurance companies required Experience in creative problem solving, process development and the ability to adapt quickly to change required Experience leading, coaching and mentoring a team required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to meet deadlines and ll assigned deliver project tasks timely.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions This position is generally performed in a typical office environment that is usually quiet. Employee is expected to work collaboratively with team members, as well as able to work independently with limited supervision. Work will require significant computer and telephone work.
