JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The HR Business Partner will be based in MUNICH and supports and manages the overall provision of people services, policies and programs together with the HR Manager to enable an empowering people experience and organization’s effectiveness. Drives the implementation and delivery of our People and Culture strategy, employee services and development of our multi-brand retail organization and its +100 stores in Germany, Switzerland, Austria & Czech Republic.Leads the planning, implementation and follow-up of selected key projects and development initiatives around the entire employee lifecycle in line with business needs and priorities.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:

  • Drives the implementation of the People & Culture strategy and roadmap through leaders and employees. Monitors programs and maintains established standards and procedures. Identifies opportunities for improvement and manages change.

  • Manages a company-wide process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, talent & leadership development, key employee retention, organization design, change management, in line with global guidelines.

  • Take end-to-end responsibility of development, roll-out and performance follow-up of key People & Culture projects and initiatives along the entire employee journey.

  • Rolls out global / local employee training initiatives and system that address (current / future) training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation or onboarding, management development, functional cross-training, the measurement of training impact and investment.

  • Supports the change of the HR Department during an integration process within a matrix organization, adapting strategies from global to local and vice versa.

  • Supports the company compliance with all existing governmental and labour, regulatory, legal and government reporting requirements. Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits.

  • Promotes the digitization of the employee journey and additional areas of the department / company to achieve savings and efficiency.

  • The location is based in Munich

NETWORK OF INTERACTION:

INTERNAL : DACHZ Retail Management Team, DACHZ People & Culture department, Global HR function, Legal Counsel

EXTERNAL : Employee Representatives, Local Regulatory Bodies, social and tax authorities

TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE:

  • At least 5 years of successful experience in HR function in a retail organization

  • Retail knowledge is a must

  • Experience in key HR processes including compensation and benefits, talent and performance management processes.

  • Solid project management skills & succesful track record of People & Culture projects & initiatives. Experience with agile methodologies is a plus

  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices, particularly in at least one of the local labour market. Expertise in multiple markets is a plus

  • Knowledge of change management practices and how to apply them in a large matrix organizational context.

  • Strong knowledge in supporting retail companies’ digital transformation will be a plus.

  • Works effectively with cross functional and inter-cultural teams and senior leaders.

  • A future oriented leader, open-minded to embrace and drive continuous change.

  • Result-driven, have a ‘can do attitude’ with a resilient eagerness to accept challenges, being adaptable to new environments and embrace learning and development through experience.

  • Analytical and critical thinking abilities

  • German and English are a must (other languages are considered a plus)
