Robert Half Bookkeeper in Memphis, Tennessee

Description

We are in search of a diligent and meticulous Bookkeeper to contribute to a growing company East of Memphis, Tennessee. The primary role will be to manage and oversee payroll operations, customer invoicing, and ensure adherence to diverse reporting requirements. This role is an integral part of our team and will play a pivotal role in the financial stability and growth of our company.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process payroll accurately and timely from timesheets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Process customer invoicing, including contract invoicing for various contracts.

• Post cash receipts and reconcile accounts receivable balances.

• Perform account reconciliations for daily cash and withholding and payroll-related accounts.

• Prepare and submit various compliance reports, including annual reports, business licenses, and contractor license renewals.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Perform bookkeeping duties with a focus on accounts receivable and payroll processing.

• Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) proficiently.

• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Competence in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Strong Bookkeeping skills

• Ability to perform accurate Data Entry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of Payroll processes

• Familiarity with QuickBooks

• Experience with Full Cycle Payroll
