Stanley Black and Decker National Account Manager in Meadowvale Business Park, Ontario

SUMMARY:

The successful applicant will assume all responsibilities for their respective businesses within the designated partner and Business Unit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Increase sales for the Home Depot account for your respective businesses

  • Prepare and present business plans to include;

  • Initiate and champion line review process

  • Initiate and plan account promotional plans

  • Merchandising co-development and execution

  • Co-ordinate divisional channel manager activities

  • Responsible for account P&L measurements to include;

  • Top line sales

  • Standard margin

  • Warranty

  • Controllable expenses

  • Co-op and VR negotiations

  • Account ownership to include;

  • Account key contact and ownership of meetings

  • Partnership with Channel Manager to execute business plan

  • Forecasting ownership ( unit detail/sales call reconciliation)

  • Track and analyze POS results

  • Liaise with corresponding U.S. Depot Sales Teams

SELECTION STANDARDS REQUIRED:

  • College or University graduate with degree or diploma in Business or another relevant field of study

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales managing a significant portfolio(s) with proven a record of demonstrated achievements and leadership

  • Understanding of The Home Depot in-store operations

  • (Key Decision Makers / order process / in-store execution) and how to influence.

  • Ability to learn, create, and adapt to ever changing e-Commerce activities

  • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to deliver effective sales presentations, negotiate and resolve customer concerns in a professional manner

  • Experience analyzing P&L information and developing strategic business plans to achieve business objectives

  • Proven success in identifying potential obstacles and opportunities and influencing change

  • Proven track record of achieving excellence, taking on more responsibilities and growing sales

  • Takes initiative and brings impeccable follow-up skills, bring projects from idea to completion

  • Team player and a self-starter with roll-up-your-sleeves attitude

  • Demonstrated business acumen of finance; marketing and supply chain

  • Excellent integrity and maturity, and a constructive approach to challenges

  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks with strong decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to lead and manage cross functionally; to successfully execute to achieve internal and external targets

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with excellent Excel skills required.
