Steel Tool and Engineering Co Aerospace Manufacturing Process Engineer in Martinsville, Indiana

Located in Martinsville, IN, Twigg Corporation manufactures aerospace components for all branches of the armed forces. The purpose of the Aerospace Manufacturing Process Engineer is to support the activities of the engineering department and the team to accomplish production and quality goals in a safe and efficient manner. This individual will be responsible for the effective processing and engineering of Aerospace parts.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan/Process machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering process sketches, material, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters; interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.

Be able to design work holding, fixturing for complex Aerospace Components to manufacture on CNC and manual lathes, mills, lasers and other equipment within a manufacturing facility.

Analyze drawings, blueprints and design data to calculate correct part dimensions for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, feed rates and stack-up.

Be capable of reading and interpreting instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts being machines within specified tolerance.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related technical field) or a suitable combination of education and work experience.

Previous experience as an Aerospace Manufacturing Process Engineer.

At least 3 years of working experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.

Ability to process a component and or assembly from the blueprint concept to individual operations to the final product.

MS Office skills, being proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, CAD, SolidWorks, etc..

Ability to read and interpret documents, engineering blueprint drawings, GD & T.

Experience in exotic metals (Stainless, Rene, Inconel, Hastelloy, Titanium, Waspaloy).

Experience in CNC mills and lathes, 2-3-5 axis, laser cutting, heat treat, metal spinning, hydroforming, EDM and tig welding, including hand, line S/A and robotic, also experience with grinding and NDT.

Be capable of reading and interpreting instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts being machined within the specified tolerance.
