Position: Senior Systems Administrator (Research & Development Data Center)

Location: Denver, CO (Onsite as needed, Hybrid work model)

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: $115- $130,000 per annum, with up to a 10% annual bonus

Requirements:

1. Proficiency in Azure platform

2. Expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters

3. Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, etc.

4. Effective leadership abilities with hands-on experience

5. Competence in DNS management and SAN/Storage Arrays

6. Hands-on experience with switch configuration, VLANs, and trunks

7. Experience in Terraform for implementation

8. Ability to design, install, and configure servers, network devices, and firewalls for optimal uptime (99.99%)

Certifications Preferred:

• Microsoft Systems Engineering

• VMWare Certified Professional, Data Center Virtualization

• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or Microsoft Azure Administrator

Additional Comments:

• Minimum 5 years of System Administration experience, ideally in a hybrid cloud environment

• Proven track record in enterprise server virtualization (VMWare) and network architecture

• Proficiency in LAN Routing and Switching, VLANs, IP Subnetting, and 802.1Q trunks

• Experience in managing external SAN and NAS storage arrays

• Ability to design and manage DNS configurations on Windows and Linux platforms

• Strong expertise in endpoint redundancy and backup solutions

• Skilled in optimizing datacenter infrastructure based on industry best practices

• Capable of developing comprehensive project plans and implementing them effectively

• Knowledgeable in industry-standard scripting languages and cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or Azure Resource Manager

• Hands-on experience with Docker containers and hybrid cloud environments

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues independently

• Proficient in administering Linux, Windows Server, and Windows client operating systems
