What You’ll Do:

  • Customer requested sample manual weighing including highly potent and controlled substances.

  • Manual inventory – pick/place ordered samples

  • Support for sample management software driven order processing

  • Sample storage maintenance and issue resolution support (i.e., locating misplaced

samples, reorganization, and expansion of manual stores as needed).

  • Building-to-building onsite sample transport at LCC.

• Container taring (bottles & vials) at an analytical balance.

  • Transfer of sample from nonstandard containers to GSM approved containers (called “rebottling”)

  • Container taring (bottles & vials) on automated weighing robots

What You’ll Need:

  • Education – HS diploma or Degree in science

  • Experience – experience in SM

  • Must be comfortable handling chemical samples

  • Must be highly organized and able to prioritize workload and complete orders

  • Communicate professionally and concisely - both written and verbal

  • Have solid experience maintaining a high attention to detail

  • Able to work in and familiar with use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and SharePoint sites

  • Ability to quickly understand job-specific software

  • Team-oriented and the ability to work in a collaborative environment

  • Be a proven multi-tasker that truly thrives on juggling multiple projects in a deadline driven environment

  • Possess strong organizational skills with ability to quickly assess project status and communicate it effectively. Must be able to work with specified turnaround times in a production environment.

  • Experience in handling large quantities of samples and orders

  • Driven, energetic person coordinating activities among different areas of the department
