Insight Global Engineering Technician in Houston, Texas

Job Description

A client in Houston, TX is looking for an Engineering Technician to join their team in East Downtown. The technician will support the engineering and operations departments by inspecting and recording all critical equipment and inventory related information. The technician will be responsible for keeping an accurate inventory of all equipment, inspecting equipment upon arrival, processing customer requests, and reviewing engineering design drawings and verifying they meet internal standards. Additionally, the technician will utilize SAP to confirm equipment availability, confirm material work orders, and maintain up-to-date critical documentation.

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inventory related role

  • Ability to interpret and analyze engineering design drawings

  • Knowledge of SAP

  • Willingness to travel within the Greater Houston area 25% of the time

  • Willingness/Ability to work in the field/outdoors when necessary

  • Basic computer skills * Bilingual in Spanish (conversational accepted)

  • Work experience within the utilities industry null
