As a Facilities Technician - Mechanical your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Helps to design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment and packaging and troubleshoots mechanical systems systematic issues and helps provide evaluation, recommendations, and solutions to resolve problems.

  • Assists in developing engineering scope of work for mechanical projects and providing engineering design review and evaluation of mechanical systems.

  • Plays a key support role in conducting feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs, directing support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, designing testing and prototype fabrication, and providing design information to drafting for packaging documentation.

  • Partners with internal customers to provide engineering solutions in support of their equipment and systems at own level.

  • Partners with operations and maintenance service provider to ensure mechanical systems are maintained and operated within specified limits at own level.

  • Supports to ensure availability and reliability of mechanical, CUB and HVAC systems are maintained to support manufacturing, clean room, R&D activities, etc. Assists to develop mechanical systems roadmap and asset replacement strategy to ensure reliability, redundancy, and capacity are available for expansion of existing facilities, renovation, and growth.

  • Helps with role modeling safety behaviors and influencing team members.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates .

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience with industrial/commercial mechanical systems operations and/or vibration analysis.

And the candidate must have at least one of the following:

  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree in Mechanical, Engineering Technology, HVAC Technology, or related field. OR

  • Military service with 1+ year of experience in maintenance, HVAC, facilities. OR

  • 5+ years of work experience in maintenance, HVAC, facilities will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Maximo and CDOCs, ILM QEF portal

  • Working knowledge of Pumps, Compressors, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Dryers, Fans, Motors, Filters, Boiler, Strainers, Heat Exchangers and Coils.

  • Experience in facilities operations or maintenance, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating, and cooling systems.
