CVG Airport Authority Environmental Services Technician II in Hebron, Kentucky

Job DetailsDescriptionCLASS SUMMARY:Responsible for maintaining floor surfaces in airport facilities to include carpet, vct tile, terrazzo floors or any other surface flooring. Assists with Environmental Service Technician I duties including cleaning and disinfecting of all Airport facilities ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. Interacts with passengers and customers throughout the shift to support airport operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.- Assembles and uses necessary equipment and supplies, including hand tools, chemical and cleaning utensils to address specific work assignments.- Vacuum, steam and spot clean carpets as needed.- Dust mop and scrub flooring.- Strip, refinish and wax floors as needed.- Burnish terrazzo flooring.- Clean escalator treads.- Operates and maintains autonomous robots.- Uses technology and innovative solutions.- Reports inoperative equipment to leadership.- Responsible for disinfecting areas using COVID spray protocols.- Operates electrostatic sprayer to disinfect and protect surfaces within airport facilities.- Offers assistance to guests that may have questions or concerns.- Remains alert to public safety and security concerns. Reports unsafe conditions when required, notifies leadership and supports the outcome.- Trains team members on procedures, understanding of machines, and techniques as directed by management.- Completes Environmental Service Technician I duties as needed and assigned.- Attends all CVG AA and manufacturer training, as required.- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED preferred and up to two years of cleaning experience, including 1 year of experience of floorcare equipment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:- Maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance.KNOWLEDGE OF:- Applicable OSHA safety standards and other Federal, State and local regulations;- Methods, techniques and materials used in cleaning maintenance of buildings;- Personal protective equipment;- Basic floor care;- Material safety data sheets.SKILL IN:- Demonstrated skill in following verbal and written instruction;- Clearly and effectively communicating both orally and in writing;- Establishing and maintaining effective, fair, cooperative, collaborative and respectful relationships with internal and external colleagues, peers, work teams and workgroups.ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Positions in this class typically require: balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
