Requirement of this position is to perform testing and provide assistance to engineering personnel to setup, install and on-time completion of accurate product testing in accordance with specific test procedures as defined by the product engineering function at eMobility Group engineering divisions globally. The position requires to:
Perform test setups in completion of specific and standard test processes for eMobility products. Person supporting for installation and commissioning of new test facilities for invertor and high voltage power distribution systems for electric vehicles.
Complete test requests according to specified test requests with minimal down time
Implementation of corrective action to test setups as required by established lab procedures or test requests, or when performance falls below acceptable limits
Communicate test programs with engineering appropriately to clarify purpose of testing and the results of ongoing tests
Take ownership of small projects, develop custom fixtures & continuously improve their skill set
Maintain close liaison with other technicians to standardize lab practices within group and with other groups in facility to ensure a safe working environment
Maintain close liaison with other technicians to standardize lab practices within product group and with other groups to complete test projects with a high degree of quality and efficiency
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the test lab that is a showpiece for customer visits. Continually work to improve the presentation of the lab for this purpose
Strive to meet test lab performance targets established in balanced score card and ensure ISO/IATF compliance.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering with min. 6-7 years relevant experience
Skills:
Minimum 6-7 years of experience in relevant hands-on experience in Automotive R&D Testing / Analysis / in electrical domain is essential.
Product knowledge- DC-DC converter, Inverter, EV Connectors
Hand-on testing on use of Oscilloscope, DC/ AC Low/ High Voltage Power supplies, Soldering/ Repair, Power Analyzer, DAQ system, Data analysis & common instruments/tools. Hands on experience on operating HV, eMotor dyno & customize setups.
Hands on experience on operating teststands/ systems & making customize bench setups for PCB/ system/ unit level testing. Experience in climatic chamber testing required.
Awareness and experience in working safety on High voltage areas.
Past experience in problem solving & continuous improvement through LEAN tool deployment for test equipment utilization and cost savings.
Clear understanding about sensors, electronic components of DAQ & software’s like Canape/ LabVIEW/ PUMA/C-sharp etc.
Proven experience in deploying TPM for R&D lab test equipment machinery
Hands on experience on data analysis software similar like FAMOS/ Yeti/ Canalyzer etc
