Sales Support Associate Position Summary The Sales Support Associate serves our internal customers by being trained to perform the job duties of all exempt positions within the sales team and also to provide coverage for these positions during absences in order to increase company sales and profits. Essential Functions Completes store resets in market; stocks, rotates and displays all products to established standards (e.g. coolers, vendors, shelf and displays). Maximizes sales and distribution of our products by working with retailers to identify opportunities to increase the sales and profitability of the company through proper use of Point of Sale materials, communication of price/value and securing displays; tracks and distributes IRCs to sales team. Assists in completion of certification of the Customer Marketing Agreements Executes POP and POS Market Blitzes to maximize sales into target accounts, colleges and universities. G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc. Assist with training and development of employees to ensure that they are performing job duties in accordance with established standards. Cross train in all areas of Sales (e.g. On-Premise, Express, Enhanced) Management and other duties as assigned by management to provide coverage for these employees when they are absent from work. Develops, builds and maintains relationships with Store Management at the retailer location to sell and order the appropriate level of product for each location. Distributes and tracks uniforms, Point of Sale Materials and coupons for location. Maintains confidentiality of financial information, promotions, pricing, employee information (e.g. discipline, wage information), customer information and other sensitive and confidential information. Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g. OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local Laws). Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required. Education Level Minimum - High School or GED or equivalent degree Preferred - 2 Year / Associate Degree in Business Experience 1 - 3 years of retail management experience. Computer Skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Certificates & Licenses Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License; employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment. Additional Requirements Knowledge of: retail sales environment; grocery and beverage industry; standard selling practices; writing customer orders; Microsoft Office Suite. Skill in: selling products and promotions; internal and external customer service; work quickly, efficiently and independently; multi-task; communicate effectively with customers and other employees both verbally and in writing; adapt to change; relate to and influence customers; develop and maintain good working relationships; write and enter accurate orders; be trained on operating a pallet jack, tow motor and other mechanical equipment; drive a vehicle; operate a computer; delegate; problem solve.
