Who We Want

We are seeking an* Assistant ProjectManager for our MiFab Division at our Thompson Road location in Fenton, MI.

 

The primary function of the Assistant Project Manager (APM) will be to collaborate with Senior Project Managers. APM's will play a critical role in order functions and problem solving to assist in growing and developing their career.

 

What You Will Be Doing

The Assistant Project Manager will be assigned to specific projects upon their handoff to operations. The APM will be responsible for coordinating with their Senior Project Manager on their project tasks.

  • Responsible for assisting in the management of project productivity, cost, and quality.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Coordinate the planning and implementation of schedules and workflow.
  • Perform project entry into Global Shop Solutions (GSS).
  • Develop Internal Build Matrixes for effective shop communication.
  • Process drawing packages for Bill of Material creation and procurement of materials.
  • Create material sequences and nesting reports in Structural Material Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors for material quoting and procurement.
  • Develop Shipping Request Form (SRF) to coordinate trucking.
  • Assist in confirming all products have been loaded onto each truck per the SRF.
  • Attend all project-related meetings to support team and create Meeting Minutes.
  • Track progress of projects on the floor by communicating with Department Managers.
  • Track progress of purchase components and long lead items to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate subcontractor and vendor contracts and associated processes and procedures.
  • Create shop books for project specific release meetings.
  • Perform internal projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
