Position Description:

We are seeking AWS Cloud Engineers who are passionate about solving challenging client problems with emerging technology solutions. As a CGI AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be joining the International Affairs (IAF) group to support the mission of U.S. security, economic well-being, and world-wide relations. Working with various clients in the US federal space, IAF supports missions that foster national security, foreign relations and resilient democratic societies. Since 1976, CGI has partnered with the U.S. federal government to support a wide variety of organizations and unique missions building solutions that support clients around the world.

This position is located in our USA VA Fairfax -- USAVAFAI01 office with work performed at client site in Washington, D.C.; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Apply problem solving skills to modernize overall technology solutions that will directly impact client missions.

• Develop, coordinate, and administrate AWS infrastructure.

• Participate in technical architecture solution efforts by interfacing with feature and product teams to understand business needs, working alongside functional team members.

• Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities with the ability to support multiple work streams and drive assimilation of new techniques and solutions.

• Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

An interim Secret clearance is required to begin working onsite with our client, and a Secret clearance must be maintained throughout the project duration. Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Knowledge of networking concepts such as Ports/Protocols/IP.

• Ability to troubleshoot common VPC infrastructure issues in regards to Network ACLs, Security Groups, Direct Connect, VPC Peering, and Transit Gateway.

• Experience deploying and maintaining solutions built on AWS IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service) offerings.

• Knowledge of AWS Security and Management Services (CloudTrail, CloudWatch, KMS, IAM).

• Understanding AWS storage concepts related to EBS and S3.

• Understanding of serverless compute solutions through the use of Lambda.

• Knowledge of Git for source code version control.

• Good working knowledge of using Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Pulumi, Terraform) to design and deploy resources.

• Knowledge of at least one programming language (C#, Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Ruby,etc) or shell scripting language (POSIX shell/Bash, PowerShell, etc.)

• Ability to develop and contribute while working seamlessly via collaboration tools.

• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technology, and keep current with industry certifications.

• Understanding of Agile and DevOps methods and mindset.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300.00 - $165,200.00.
