We are looking for a motivated Civil and Environmental Engineering Intern to join our company.

What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran:
Duties and responsibilities vary based on level of experience and project expectations.
An intern will generally shadow experienced professionals and participate as a member of a team by contributing to actual projects.
Interns are able to apply what they have learned "from the classroom" via experience based-learning.
Possible experience in the following: Various sampling and monitoring methods for soils, sediments, water, and air, contractor oversight , and ArcGIS Pro Map generation.


What You Will Need To Succeed:
The ideal candidate will be a second or third-year Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Sciences student.
Specific classes taken should include a mix of the following: Surface Water Hydrology, Wastewater Treatment, Stormwater Design and hydraulics, Soils, Fluid Mechanics, Water Quality Chemistry, Groundwater Geology, Environmental Geochemistry, ArcGIS, and Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CADD).
An interest in site/civil engineering design, groundwater collection and treatment, site remediation, and compliance are desired.
Proficiency in CADD and/or ArcGIS, completion of OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPPER certification course, and prior field experience are a plus.

$18.45 - $27.68 an hour

Pay:

This position's anticipated pay range is provided above; final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials are used to recognize and reflect cost of labor differences between geographic markets.

Annual Incentive Bonus Opportunity:

Eligible positions may receive an annual cash bonus based on the role's organizational level, and is represented as a percentage range of eligible earnings.

Vacation time is provided to full and part-time regular employees. Vacation is accrued, based on number of hours worked per week as well as prior years of experience.
