Exterran Project Manager in Calgary, Canada

POSITIONS SUMMARY

Based in Calgary and reporting to the Director of Operations, the Project Manager will manage all aspects of produced water treatment projects and be responsible for deliverable commitments, project cost, schedule, and quality. The Project Manager manages, directs and coordinates the Project team in the successful kick-off, execution, completion, and close-out of all projects involving Water Product Line. The Project Manager has responsibility of representing Exterran Water Solutions with both clients and suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in project definitions and technical bid preparation

Plan, schedule and organize all phases of assigned projects

Manage all aspects of project execution, including deliverable commitments, project cost, schedule and quality

Responsible for managing all change order requests, including cost, schedule and contract implications

Maintain a detailed project schedule

Regularly assess project risks and risk mitigation plans

Represent the company in client and supplier relationships

Coordinates technical interpretation as required

Coordinate activities with clients, suppliers and other departments

Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, government regulations, and customer specifications; ensuring the documentation of project activities and deliverables

Maintain financial reporting on project health and performance

Effectively and accurately report overall project status to both internal and external customers and to senior management

Assist field support teams as required, some travel required

Contribute, develop and maintain project management best practices within Water Solutions Project Management organization.

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

Excellent written and communication skills

Proficient in the use of common MS office software; including MS Project

Leadership, mentorship and coordination of junior project staff

Based on experience, can intuitively manage project risks

Very detail oriented

Complete understanding of P&IDs, GAs and PFDs

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE - SKILLS

Candidate must have at least 5 years proven experience as a Project Manager

Bachelor Degree in Engineering

Proficient in the use of common MS office software; including MS Project

Excellent written and communication skills

The successful candidate will have experience in total project responsibility, including supplier and client relationships, cost/schedule

EPC experience desired

Project Management Certification an asset

Produced Water experience an asset
