Medtronic Bilingual Strategic Sourcing Specialist ON in Brampton, Ontario

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

· Lead and execute procurement processes and negotiations for Indirect Sourcing at a cluster or country level by ensuring compliance with local and global guidelines, meeting business unit’s needs, driving savings and building long-term relationships with suppliers.

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (may include the following and other duties may be assigned):

· Provides project management and sourcing expertise to cross-functional, cross-divisional commodity teams.

· Facilitates these teams in the development and execution of long-term strategies that will optimize Medtronic's position in terms of quality, cycle/response time, technology, risk, and total cost.

· Mitigates risk, leverages technology and purchase power, improves processes and systems, and reduces overall cost of ownership and acquisition.

· Negotiates, establishes and monitors supplier agreements.

· Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)

· Reporting and data analysis to facilitate decision-making processes.

· Lead and execute procurement processes and negotiations (Both tactical and strategic) for cluster or country specific spend.

· Represent Indirect Supply Management function within the Cluster, supporting local

· management in meeting their needs at the most cost efficient and effective way, mitigating (supply) risk and ensuring compliance to applicable (corporate) requirements, processes and guidelines.

· Deliver cost savings.

· Co-develop and implement sourcing strategies and plans within the cluster/country.

· Drive supplier consolidation and define preferred suppliers together with the internal stakeholders.

Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

  • This position requires knowledge of both spoken and written French and English, due to the organization's operational activities, which are international in scope.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION

· Degree in business management, finances, international business, industrial engineering, or related areas.

· Knowledge in strategic sourcing methodology, P2P process, bidding tendering processes (RFI, RFQ, RFQ, auctions) and contract implementation process.

· SAP/Ariba.

· MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point), advanced Excel.

JOB EXPERIENCE

· Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in indirect sourcing in categories including facilities, supply chain, professional services, HR services, finance services, fleet, IT, outsourced services, consulting, among others

· Working experience in multinational, national companies of high recognition.

· Sourcing experience working in medical devices sector or related industries.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

· Project management methodologies.

· Data management tools and methodology (PowerBI, others).
