Lockheed Martin Senior Manager, Corporate Communications in Bethesda, Maryland

Description: The Senior Manager of Corporate Communications leads a team that strategically guides and facilitates the development of key enterprise messaging for internal and external audiences to help stakeholders achieve their business objectives. Responsibilities include leading employee communications planning, from strategy and positioning to content development and distribution, across Human Resources (HR), Ethics & Enterprise Assurance (EEA), Security, Legal and Finance and Business Operations (F&BO) functions to ensure timely, consistent, effective and collaborative communications across the enterprise. The candidate will be responsible for contributing to crisis communications planning, integrated coordination of all enterprise-wide employee communications, leading executive thought leadership and messaging, and collaboration with enterprise communicators, executives and other functional leaders on high visibility projects.

Basic Qualifications:

• Previous experience leading the development and execution of strategic communications plans for senior leaders with proven record of collaboration and client-service delivery, with exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to multi-task in a highly organized manner and work well with employees at all levels in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

• Executive presence, experience in building and managing teams and collaborating across teams

• A track record of vision, creative thinking, and coordination of complex programs

Desired Skills:

• Superior writing, speaking and general communication skills

• Outstanding executive presence and interpersonal skills

• Working knowledge of HR, Legal, Finance and other corporate functional business topics and of the defense/aerospace industry or diversified industrials sector

• Strong leadership skills / aptitude to be demonstrated through project management, strategic planning and measurement/evaluation

• Advanced degree or training in a communications field and a minimum of 10 years broad communications experience with progression of responsibility and proven leadership

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
