We are looking for high-potential, innovative, and a results oriented professional to join Amazon India who can work in ambiguous situations and chart the way forward. By joining the Operational Excellence team as a Program Manager for the Consumables Category, you will drive high-visibility and strategic programs as well as leverage Analytics to lead process improvement initiatives. And will be equally comfortable digging into business requirements as you are driving operational efficiencies.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define and execute tactical and strategic plans towards achieving the program vision and goals through efficient program, operations and stakeholder management

  • Develop team goals and metrics that allow for accurate measurement and traction towards solving a business problem, achieve buy-in from stakeholders and actively report progress on the goals

  • Work with program, supply chain operations, and product management teams to understand program requirements and jointly develop a solution which solves a larger business problem

  • Serve as leaders and point of contact for escalated contact resolution for complex problems

  • Continuously perform data based Analytics to identify issues and report key insights, subsequently building data backed business cases

  • Develop and maintain key relationships with internal stakeholders locally and around the world

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent

  • Experience and strong interest in Operations, proven ability to define efficient and scalable processes through root cause identification and defect elimination

  • Strong critical and analytical thinking; ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems, and perform cost benefit trade-offs

  • Excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills; demonstrated success in achieving buy-in for an innovative, bold and strategic solution

  • Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Self-driven, ability to work independently to develop and execute strategies with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Consulting experience, MBA from a top-ranking institute and basic understanding of Profit & Loss statement and its drivers.

  • Experience in E-commerce environment; related experience in process improvements, operational excellence

  • Familiarity with concepts of Machine Learning models and their use in an operations setting

  • Technical aptitude to quickly grasp complex issues and innovate and build solutions for quick deployment

  • Working with Finance, Tech/data sciences teams to root cause issues and influence the launch of solutions.
