Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated Solution Architect with a strong understand of the Financial Services sector. The candidate should possess a balance of strong technical, business, communication and interpersonal skills.

You will work with some of the ASEAN's largest Enterprise customers in collaboration with AWS Sales teams to a coherent technical strategy founded in AWS cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate their adoption of AWS services.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a small set of ASEAN customers. As a trusted customer advocate, the solutions architect will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of AWS within enterprise customers.

The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

Basic Qualifications

• Technical degree or extensive technical experience required

• Significant design/implementation/consulting experience with Cloud or distributed applications

• Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries

• Deep understanding and implementation of database, data lakes and analytics.

• Experience with predictive analytics, semi- and unstructured data

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer Science, Engineering or Math background highly desired

• Strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (Iaas,SaaS,PaaS) would be preferred but not required.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams.

• Experience of building machine learning solutions on public cloud platforms

• Talent for being able to influence and build mindshare convincingly with any audience. Confident and experienced in public speaking to large audiences.

• Ability to handle complex relationships and work in a team environment is a key requirement

• Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, Java and data querying tools.
