We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Center Technician to join our team. The Data Center Technician will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day activities in our data center, including rack and stack operations, cable management, and collaboration with various infrastructure teams. Additionally, this role will involve participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure continuous support and availability of our data center services.

To adhere to our corporate location policies, this resource will be required to be local to the surrounding Atlanta areas (or willing to relocate for this position) and adhere to our Return To Office (RTO) / weekly onsite requirements (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). This is an Alpharetta based position. Rack and Stack Devices: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware devices such as servers, switches, routers, and storage arrays within the data center racks. Cable Management: Run, organize, and manage cables to ensure proper connectivity and minimize the risk of downtime or disruptions. Collaboration with Infrastructure Teams: Work closely with the Network, Storage, and Compute teams to troubleshoot issues, implement changes, and optimize the performance of the data center infrastructure. Decommissioning: Responsible for the decommissioning and disposal of hardware devices, adhering to proper procedures and working with the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) team to update inventory records. Inventory Management: Collaborate with the CMDB and ITAM team to maintain accurate inventory records of all hardware assets within the data center, including tracking deployments, movements, and retirements. On-Call Support: Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to provide support for data center emergencies, escalations, and critical incidents outside of regular business hours. You will be on call every third (3rd) week. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all data center activities, including equipment configurations, cable layouts, inventory updates, and incident reports. Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and best practices for data center operations, including physical security, environmental controls, and equipment maintenance.

What You'll Do Provide technical support for a moderate range of server platforms. Monitor and perform basic troubleshooting for network and server environments. Perform restorative and maintenance actions to resolve problems. Maintain technology equipment.

What Experience You Need 2-4 years of experience in a similar role Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience Medium knowledge of IT Fundamentals and concepts Have the potential to mentor junior team members

What Could Set You Apart Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred Proven experience working in a data center environment, with hands-on experience in rack and stack operations, cable management, and hardware installation. Strong technical skills and familiarity with networking, storage, and server technologies. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively in high-pressure situations. Availability to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays, to provide timely support for data center emergencies and critical incidents. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in inventory management, documentation, and compliance with procedures and standards. Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required. Certifications su h as CompTIA Server , Network , or equivalent are a plus.
